Services for Mr. Fred Daugherty, age 87, of Hideaway are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Anderson, Pastor Jack Conley and Pastor Herschel Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale. Mr. Daugherty died Sunday, June 13, 2010 in a Lindale nursing center. He was born in Center, Texas on October 5, 1922, the son of the late Laurie and Ada Lou Samford Daugherty and was formerly of Richardson before moving to Hideaway in 1982. Mr. Daugherty served in the United States Army during World War II in the Asiatic & Pacific theaters, and was a retired supervisor for Western Electric now Alcatel-Lucent. He was a member of the T.R. Bonner Masonic Lodge #724, Sharon Shrine Golf Unit, Scottish Rite and the Hideaway Lake Community Church. Preceded him in death was his parents, 2 Sisters, a brother and his son-in-law, Jack McGill on December 15, 2009.
Mr. Daugherty is survived by his Wife of 63 years, Mrs. Jenny Daugherty of Hideaway; Daughters & Son-in-law, Rickie McGill of Lindale and Melodye & T. C. Pinson of The Woodlands; Brother, Lawrence Daugherty of Dallas; Granddaughters, Misty Tegeler and husband Brian of San Antonio, Dawn Robinson and husband, Chris of Plano and Angee Webb and husband, Joe of Dallas; 3 Great Grandchildren, Mady Kate Tegeler of San Antonio and Tyler and Reagan Robinson, both of Plano.
Serving as pallbearers will be T. C. Pinson, Brian Tegeler, Chris Robinson and Joe Webb.
Friends may view from 9:00 A.M. to service time Wednesday morning at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
The family would like to thank the staff of Colonial Nursing Center in Lindale for the special care they all gave to Fred.
