Memorial services for June F. Lee age 86 of Lindale are scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, July 5, 2010 in the Caudle Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with Doug Schultz, Dale Liid, and Phil Brown officiating.

Mrs. Lee was born August 24, 1923 in Los Angeles, California the daughter of the late Luther M. and Grace A. (Pryor) Russell. She passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 in a Lindale nursing center.

June was inspired by her grandfather and mother's service to God as well all she inspired in her children's lives. Both her son and daughter served as pastors, teachers and missionaries in Africa. But June had a ministry all her own. Within the immediate 18 months before her passing, she crocheted 42 Afghans for those who were sick, hospitalized, discouraged and a lot for people she just came to love. Every stitch was formed with prayer and she shared with them they would cover themselves in her prayers when they used it. In all - she has given hundreds to people.
She loved to cook and so many people were brought home from church on their first Sunday visit or after church for 'fellowship' time. Her chocolate chip peanut butter cookies are infamous. The last group on which she showered love was the 'young families' from the church. She would make special treats for sometimes 30 people. She pulled the young women into her heart and into her kitchen, but it was their names on her pocket prayer list that we saw during the week.
She was an extraordinary woman, and to think she was our mother.

Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and Donovan Russell; sisters, Virginia Riddle and Mildred Hennesey and a grandson, Donald Lee Schultz.

Mrs. Lee is survived by her husband, Leif C. Lee of Lindale; Daughter and son-in-law, Judi and Doug Schultz of Lindale; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Yvonne Liid of Vacaville, California; grandchildren, Robin Bailiff and husband Russell of Lindale, Dana Ramsey and husband Terry of Wilsonville, Oregon, Michael McCarthy and husband Brian of San Diego, California, Talitha Lee of Renton, Virginia; great grandchildren, Tirzah Giroux, Danielle Ramsey, Toviyah Ramsey, David Ramsey, Nicolas Lee McCarthy, Cormac McCarthy, Austyn Bailiff, Amber Bailiff, Alec Bailiff, and Aleigha Bailiff.
