Raymond Edward Davis, age 72, of Hideaway, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010 after a two-year battle with cancer. Raymond was born in Stephenville, Texas, on February 14, 1938. He served in the U.S. Navy, Air Development Squadron Four, and was stationed in California and Japan. Raymond retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Bedford, Texas, in 1998. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Ollie Burton Davis, Jr. and Marie McAdams Davis; and brothers Kenneth R. Davis and Monroe B. Davis.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of almost 38 years, Stella M. Davis of Hideaway, Texas; step-daughters Trayce L. Foster of Azle, Texas, and Nicki A. Vogel of Watauga, Texas; grandchildren Jason P. Foster of Newport News, Virginia, and Melany E. Davis of Houston, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Emma K. Foster of Norfolk, Virginia, and Rylan M. Foster of Newport News, Virginia.

A Mmmorial service honoring Raymond's life will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel at Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
